We collect your name, email address, and any information you provide when creating listings or your profile. We also collect listing content (photos, videos, descriptions) and messages you send through our chat feature.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide the marketplace platform, display listings, facilitate communication between buyers and sellers, moderate content, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Listing visibility
Information you provide in listings (including photos, location, and contact email) is visible to other users. Be mindful of what personal information you include in public listing fields.
4. Location data
When you enter a location for a listing, we use OpenStreetMap's free geocoding service to convert it to map coordinates so the listing can appear on our map view. Your suburb-level location is displayed to other users; your exact address is not shared unless you choose to include it.
5. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies to maintain your session and analytics to understand how the platform is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
6. Data retention
We retain your account information and listing data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.
7. Your rights
Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. Third-party services
We use third-party services including OpenStreetMap (map data), file storage, and AI moderation providers. These services may process limited data necessary to provide their functions.
9. Notifications
We send in-app and email notifications for offers, moderation events (such as a listing being approved or held for review), review activity on your listings, messages, and admin correspondence. You can enable or disable email notifications at any time from your Profile page — no need to contact us. We send at most one email notification per conversation until you've caught up, to avoid spamming you.
10. Data breaches
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information. In the event of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected users and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988.
